PIVOT Physical Therapy is now hiring an IT Manager to help lead a small team of IT Specialist for the Occupational Health & Physical Therapy Divisions! 


The IT Manager reports directly to the Vice President of IT and manages a small team of remote IT Specialists providing direct technical support and participating in IT projects across Pivot’s Occupational Health and Physical Therapy divisions.  The role is part of a team managing two primary EMR systems and a set of Pivot business applications, including user access and general management associated with their use and upkeep. Responsibilities include the review of tickets and tasks assigned directly, and to direct reports, for completion within established SLAs. In addition, duties include project and vendor relationship management and regular interaction with internal groups in meeting the overall IT needs of the company. The role also functions as a project team member for various internal and external initiatives involving the IT department. The candidate is required to uphold excellent customer support practices in every contact and communication.


  • Daily interaction with end users and business stakeholders, including hands-on and remote support
  • Oversight of direct reports including task prioritization, performance reviews, and time management
  • Hardware and software support for Pivot-issued devices and applications
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of customer and business data
  • Participate in ongoing reviews/audits to ensure consistency with best practices
  • Regular interaction with hardware, software, ISP, and MSP vendors
  • Ability to solve practical problems, sometimes in environments with limited standardization
  • Participation in various IT and non-technical project initiatives
  • Provide technical support and future direction for Pivot EMR applications
  • Participate in, and occasionally lead, application testing, vendor evaluation, and selection
  • May serve as the lead for projects spanning multiple teams
  • Work with internal resources and external vendors to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Configure and support Pivot’s EMR and business application accounts and security model
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations and procedures within the Pivot environment
  • Effectively communicate information to managers, colleagues and customers
  • Interact with Pivot leadership to understand future requirements and implications for services
  • Identify and recommend alternatives based on business requirements and access to new technologies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 10+ years IT experience
  • 7+ years in a support role
  • A demonstrated ability to take ownership of IT initiatives
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Management experience with strong organizational skills
  • Experience with the selection, deployment, and support of enterprise applications
  • Experience in maintaining IT security best-practices and standards around compliance with HIPAA and associated SOC II, PCI, HITRUST, etc attestations and certifications
  • Strong documentation skills and the ability to transfer knowledge to team members
  • Ability to analyze complex systems/processes and provide alternatives
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and PowerBI a plus
  • Practical experience with EMR systems, particularly Cority and/or WebPT, or prior healthcare experience a plus
